- About Us
Stormwater is rain or snowmelt runoff that accumulates in natural and/or constructed storage facilities and storm water systems during and immediately following a storm event. Stormwater runoff is the most common cause of water pollution affecting steams, lakes, rivers and groundwater. Unlike pollution from industry or sewage treatment facilities, stormwater pollution is caused by the daily activities of citizens. The following links will help educate you about the effects of stormwater runoff on the environment and the actions you can take to mitigate these impacts.
